About the position

The Data Center Virtualization Architect role is focused on designing and implementing efficient cloud architectures and data center management solutions. The position requires extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and VMware, and involves collaboration with various business teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology and business strategies. The architect will analyze existing systems, recommend improvements, and document new architectures while considering scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Model efficient architectures and evaluate relevant technologies.
• Analyze existing architectures and make recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with multiple architects in the organization to develop the best architecture and design.
• Design and document new architectures, considering scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Identify opportunities for technology enhancements and improvements.
• Utilize cloud migration methodologies, strategies, and tools, including rehosting, re-platforming, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications.
• Work with departmental leads to ensure alignment between business and technology strategies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and data center management.
• Hands-on experience across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, OpenStack).
• Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including private cloud environments (e.g., OpenStack, VMware Cloud).
• In-depth understanding of data center technologies, including server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of customer onboarding processes, sales buyflow, order fulfillment, billing, payment, supply chain management, network provisioning, and product catalog.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices design patterns and principles.
• Good knowledge in PCRF, discount, quotation, refund, and charging for Telecom customers.
