About the position

The Data Collector position at UTHealth School of Public Health is a part-time, bilingual role focused on supporting individuals at risk for homelessness through Project HALT. The role involves collecting follow-up measures, conducting assessments, and engaging with clients primarily via telephone. The position offers flexible hours and is mostly remote, with some in-person activities required.

Responsibilities

  • Call potential participants to remind them to complete the survey
  • Conduct a telephonic assessment of health and housing
  • Distribute and track gift cards
  • Record client responses and job activities in a data management system
  • Attend team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Excellent telephonic communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a complex schedule
  • Cultural sensitivity in working with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfort with technology and data entry
  • High School diploma
  • Two years related experience with emphasis on public contact.
