About the position

KBR has an opening for a test and evaluation analyst - Data/Configuration Management Analyst Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite at NBVC Point Mugu, CA. This position requires on-site presence, and remote or tele-work is not available. The selected candidate will serve as the test and evaluation analyst and data products coordinator for AD T&E activities, responsible for all test data production and distribution. This role is critical in assisting ITT test engineers with facilities setup and data collection/management for all test evolutions related to the E-2D AD program. The responsibilities of this position include utilizing dedicated Automated Information Systems (AIS) to support aircraft configuration and modifications. The analyst will operate both Windows and Linux-based AIS to facilitate flight test data collection, download, duplication, and archiving. Additionally, the role involves assisting on-site Information Technology (IT) personnel with Systems Administration (SA) duties related to the maintenance and operations of the test support AIS. The analyst will also participate in strategic planning meetings to keep leadership informed about the status of instrumentation and test support AIS, as well as future requirements. Moreover, the position requires performing technical research and making recommendations for future network/AIS configuration changes to adapt to emerging test/security requirements and system upgrade/modernization needs. Periodic travel to remote test sites is also a requirement of this role, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in various environments.

Responsibilities

  • Travel periodically to remote test sites as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and twelve (12) or more years of experience in performing technical and/or engineering support functions is required.
  • Bachelor's degree and an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
  • Associate's degree and an additional eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and similar computer-based productivity applications.
  • CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification required within 6 months of employment.
  • Current Secret Clearance is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of VMWare and virtual environments.
  • Configuration and use of redundant array of independent disks (RAID) and components.
  • Data downloading and duplication, tape backup procedures and data archiving.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server OS, Windows 10 and Symantec Backup Exec.
  • High degree of problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
