About The Position

The Data Coordinator - Research at Mayo Clinic is responsible for abstracting clinical and demographic data to support management in planning and improving clinical outcomes. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Expertise in statistical computing and data management systems.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in meeting deadlines and working independently.
• Ability to provide education through seminars/training.
• Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of PC workstations and Microsoft applications (Access, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

Responsibilities

• Abstract clinical and demographic data for management use.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain reports from IDX systems and hospital systems.
• Monitor outcomes for programs and research projects.
• Provide data management support for minimal risk, extramural funded clinical trials.
• Collect data using case report forms, patient interviews, and source documentation.
• Develop and design clinical reports to support regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Disease/Discipline Oriented Groups (DOGs) to identify clinical data needs.
• Prioritize assignments and complete tasks following established guidelines.
• Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) research driven studies.
• Perform administrative duties as directed by the Clinical Research Unit Operations Manager.
