About the position

As a Data Domain Architect at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will play a pivotal role in developing Semantic web solutions that enhance the way data is published and utilized across the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with Data Publishers and Product Owners within cross-disciplinary teams to improve the publication of information. You will facilitate the adoption of an Enterprise-level Product Taxonomy across multiple lines of business, ensuring that data is classified and structured effectively to meet organizational needs. In this role, you will support the development of strategies for the end-to-end implementation of various programs, tailoring functional solutions for local use that align with the Enterprise Product Taxonomy. You will assist in the requirements gathering and testing of enhancements to the Enterprise Product Taxonomy, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective in meeting the needs of the business. Your expertise will be crucial in classifying, analyzing, and mapping relevant content from different data publishers, utilizing both manual and machine learning methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional business units to capture essential terms, facets, definitions, and acronyms, thereby building, supporting, and maintaining the Enterprise Taxonomy. By employing industry best practices, you will develop, test, and maintain structured data that supports and improves product integrations powered by taxonomy metadata.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Semantic web solutions including metadata capture for publishing data.
  • Collaborate with Data Publishers and Product Owners in cross-disciplinary teams to improve how they publish their information.
  • Facilitate adoption of Enterprise level Product Taxonomy across multiple lines of businesses.
  • Support to develop strategy for end-to-end implementation for one or more sets of programs.
  • Provide support in tailoring functional solutions for local use, anchored to the Enterprise Product Taxonomy.
  • Assist in the requirements and testing of Enterprise Product Taxonomy enhancements.
  • Classify, analyze and map relevant content from different data publishers in alignment with broader taxonomy and ontology infrastructure using both manual and machine learning methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business units to capture terms, facets, definitions, and acronyms to build, support and maintain the Enterprise Taxonomy.
  • Utilize industry best practices to develop, test, and maintain structured data that supports and improves product integrations powered by taxonomy metadata.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field of study.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect, Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Experience with taxonomy and ontology standards, processes, and technologies.
  • Experience with linked data and open vocabulary.
  • Experience with Graph Databases and Triple Stores.
  • Proficiency in Python, SPARQL, SQL.
  • Experience in business analysis, concept extraction, and structured querying to support taxonomy development and reporting.
  • Knowledge of SKOS modelling.
  • Experience using Google Search Structured Data.
  • Experience with Metadata capture.
  • Familiarity with Web Ontology Language (OWL), W3C, Resource Description Framework (RDF), and JSON-LD.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $155,000 - $165,000 per year.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
