About the position

BAE Systems is seeking Data Engineers to support government customers in a classified environment. The role involves designing, implementing, and operating data management systems tailored for intelligence needs, focusing on how data is stored, accessed, integrated, and managed across various systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs.
• Support the identification, prioritization, and scheduling of data modeling and processing requirements with users.
• Report the status of all data extraction, transformation, and load activities.
• Reconstruct data provided in various formats including XML, delimited text, and multiple database systems.
• Apply semantic data modeling techniques to classify, aggregate, and generalize data stored in different database management systems.
• Validate semantic data models with users.
• Transform semantic data models into physical database designs.
• Design physical database management systems to represent semantic data models, including relational and object-relational databases and distributed file systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related computer science area with 8+ years of data engineering experience, or 10+ years of experience without a degree.
• Master's degree in a related computer science area with 12+ years of data engineering experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience.
• Prior military or government analytical experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO).
• Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the IC/DoD.
