About the position

As a Data Engineer at Loxo, you will manage the data integration function, focusing on migrating clients' legacy data to the Loxo platform. This role involves collaborating with the Customer Success team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new users. You will oversee the entire migration process, develop scalable solutions, and provide exceptional support, contributing to the overall customer experience with Loxo.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire migration process from beginning to end.
  • Define strategies and develop repeatable and scalable solutions for data migration.
  • Produce detailed data mapping documents.
  • Develop and implement tools, scripts, queries, or applications for data access, analysis, conversion, and migration.
  • Reverse engineer data models from other vendors.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues and write scripts to cleanse data.
  • Maintain the security, data integrity, and availability of data in production environments.
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to manage client expectations and solve database issues.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact during the migration process.

Requirements

  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Proficient with ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Pentaho, CloverETL, SSIS, etc.).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to take on tasks with little direction and produce high-value deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to drive a project from inception to completion.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-centric attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience performing data migrations.
  • Previous SaaS experience.
  • Ruby on Rails experience.
