About the position

The Data Engineer role at Amazon Marketing Cloud focuses on building and managing data components within a cutting-edge AdTech platform. Responsibilities

  • Own the ingestion data pipeline that extracts billions of records from various advertising and non-advertising source systems.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers to build new applications for advertisers.
  • Prioritize and choose the right technologies to support a 10x growth requirement over the next two years.
  • Participate in daily standups to discuss wins, progress, and roadblocks.
  • Engage in design and architecture meetings with Technical Product Managers and Principal Engineers.
  • Conduct customer meetings to gather user feedback and insights.
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
  • Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
