About the position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer / Architect to join our team, based in Lubbock, Texas. This role is central to our operations, where you will be tasked with managing data-related tasks, from processing to visualization, using a variety of tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Microsoft Data Fabric, Microsoft Azure SQL, AWS Aurora, and Microsoft Azure for data management tasks.
• Engage with enterprise solutions such as Salesforce for data integration and management.
• Leverage data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau to generate insightful reports and visualizations.
• Design and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and quality.
• Develop and maintain robust data models and database designs that support our business needs.
• Integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities into data pipelines to enhance data processing and analysis.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills in resolving data-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative remote work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Profound knowledge and experience with Azure Data Factory
• Solid experience in working with Azure Data Lake
• Demonstrated expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics
• Proven ability to design and implement database architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus
• Proactive attitude and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and data governance.
