About the position

BAE Systems is seeking Data Engineer Architects to support government customers in Reston, VA and Patrick Space Force Base, FL. These professionals will work in a classified environment, focusing on designing, implementing, and operating data management systems tailored to intelligence needs. The role emphasizes innovative technology solutions for complex data management challenges.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and define system scope and objectives.
• Develop or modify processes to solve complex problems for OSINT computer systems.
• Design how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems.
• Develop and apply advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques.
• Investigate and solve complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and applications.
• Responsible for design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related computer science area with 8+ years of data engineering experience, or 10+ years of experience without a degree (Mid-level).
• Master's degree in a related computer science area with 12+ years of data engineering experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience (Senior).
• Prior military or government analytical experience.
• Knowledge of IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO).
• Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the IC/DoD.
