About the position
The Data Engineer role at Insight Global focuses on enhancing the Business Risk Platform by managing and improving tools that monitor merchant processing behavior. The position requires expertise in cloud environments, particularly AWS and GCP, to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory obligations while maintaining system security and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Improve the current model with predefined rules to meet regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Manage the tool engine and introduce new rules with zero downtime.
- Ensure the platform meets data quality metrics consistent with Data Governance Policies.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.
- Redesign infrastructure for greater scalability and optimize data delivery.
- Automate manual processes and build infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Build analytical tools to provide actionable insights into business performance metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support their data infrastructure needs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in designing and writing maintainable software (Python).
- Experience building and maintaining data systems and pipelines, including databases and data warehouses.
- Experience implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Experience ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Proficiency in cloud services and platforms (AWS & GCP).
- Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
- Expertise in cloud storage solutions, computing resources, and networking capabilities.
- Experience with Data Integration and ETL Processes.
