About the position

The Data Engineer position within the AWS Kumo team focuses on enhancing data architecture and analytics to improve customer experiences on AWS. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to develop data solutions that support business objectives and drive revenue through exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the current data architecture, data quality, monitoring, and data availability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, and machine learning.
• Partner with Business Analysts to build and verify hypotheses to improve the AWS Support business.
• Help improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for customers.
• Stay updated with advances in big data technologies and design scalable data architecture for increased data sets.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
• Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
