About the position

The Business Data Solutions Developer (Pricing) at Penske is responsible for building, maintaining, and organizing the infrastructure that enables the Pricing team to leverage data effectively. This role involves conducting software testing, providing support to end users, and documenting existing software solutions. The developer will collaborate with various teams to identify, design, implement, and maintain data solutions, contributing to the establishment of a software center of excellence (COE).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions for large cross-functional projects related to pricing or business improvement areas.
  • Act as SME on designed solutions, key business processes, and data systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to implemented data solutions.
  • Work with end users and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement solution enhancements.
  • Lead creation of technical documentation and training materials for end users and peers.
  • Assist in other projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business or IT degree preferred; Master's in Business Administration preferred.
  • Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the development of analytical solutions and cross-functional business process solutions.
  • Intermediate understanding/utilization of relational databases and analytical tools (e.g., AWS Glue, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Intermediate understanding of business process management.
  • Intermediate use/knowledge of workflow/business analysis/business management tools (e.g., Anaplan, SharePoint, Power Automate).
  • Ability to exhibit working/conversational knowledge in a variety of technical skills.
  • Ability to lead and actively participate in various project deliverables to drive completion and mentor associates.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and execute training in data and analytical techniques.
