LMI is seeking a Data Engineer to support a DOD Army Program. This position requires an active Secret clearance and involves working in an agile environment alongside contractors, government civilians, and military personnel. The Data Engineer will be responsible for building, managing, and operationalizing data pipelines to support the customer’s needs. The role is critical in implementing data management standards, developing secure code, and applying best practices for data acquisition and transformation, particularly for machine learning data conduits. The Data Engineer will also assess and address limitations in data delivery methods, assist integrated project teams in managing data, and ensure compliance with data classification and handling requirements. This includes manipulating large datasets for analysis, writing and executing scripts on various systems, and managing the cataloging and retrieval of data. The position requires strong analytical skills to create solutions based on business requirements and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Additionally, the Data Engineer will interact with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, document work, and support capabilities briefings for military personnel. The role demands a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to foster a cooperative work environment while working closely with Cybersecurity resources to document controls and support compliance with audits.
