About the position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Data Scientist to join our team, focusing on leveraging data to drive business insights and improve decision-making processes. This role is critical in developing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing data models that support analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, particularly in Python and JavaScript, and experience with frameworks such as Django. A deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform products, including PubSub and BigQuery, is essential for this position. Additionally, familiarity with Google's infrastructure platforms like Borg and CNS will be beneficial in executing the responsibilities effectively. As a Data Engineer / Data Scientist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring the integrity and security of data. The role also involves utilizing artificial intelligence tools to enhance data processing and analysis capabilities, contributing to the overall efficiency of data operations. This position is a contract role based in either the Bay Area, CA, or Austin, TX, offering a competitive pay range of $65 to $70 per hour.
