About the position

The Data Engineer position at Ericsson involves leveraging data to derive insights and solutions that align with the business objectives of Ericsson Cloud & Software Services. The role requires collaboration with both local and international teams, focusing on innovative projects and addressing complex technical challenges in application development.

Responsibilities

  • Define how we instrument, prioritize, and store data that powers AI/ML solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable data models, predictive models, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Evolve and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture, including data flow & collection for multi-functional teams, and integrate them with the company-wide architecture.
  • Work closely with other team members to ‘digitize' & ‘automate' various reports (i.e. financial/progress tracking/planning etc.)
  • Gather requirements from team members to design and implement various data dashboards, templates, KPI scorecards.
  • Evaluate and improve existing reports/visualization.
  • Create & maintain data repositories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in building data pipelines, data models, and data solutions from scratch.
  • Expertise in Data Engineering and relevant technologies (e.g., Spark, Python, Kubernetes, SQL, Java, C++, Scala).
  • Experience with batch and streaming data architectures such as Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Storm, or Beam.
  • Expertise in various types of database structures (e.g., object storage, document stores, key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
  • Skilled in MS Excel, Power BI or other data visualization tools, SAP, Power Query, Alteryx, Python, Robotic Process Automation, Power Apps, and/or Statistical Analysis tools like Minitab.
  • Applied experience with frameworks such as Databricks, H2O, PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures, e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP.
