About the position

Intelliswift Software Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer II to join the Worldwide DEX Team. This role is pivotal in helping the company maintain its reputation as the most customer-centric organization on earth. The Data Engineer will work within one of the largest and most complex data warehouse environments, focusing on developing and supporting analytic technologies that provide customers with timely, flexible, and structured access to their data. The position involves designing, implementing, and supporting an analytical infrastructure that allows for ad-hoc access to large datasets and computing power. The Data Engineer will interface with various technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of sources, utilizing advanced technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the role requires self-driven individuals who can deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with peers in a team of talented engineers is a key aspect of the job, as is the continuous improvement of reporting and analysis processes. The Data Engineer will also explore and learn the latest technologies to enhance capabilities and increase efficiency in data management and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Work in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments.
  • Develop and support analytic technologies for customer data access.
  • Design, implement, and support an analytical infrastructure for ad-hoc access to large datasets.
  • Interface with technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Communicate effectively and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with peers in a team of talented engineers.
  • Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
  • Explore and learn new technologies to enhance capabilities and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of related experience in data engineering.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
  • Strong development experience with BI reporting tools like Tableau or Quicksight.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large complex data sets.
  • Ability to partner with business owners to understand requirements and provide actionable data.
