About the position

The Data Engineer II at Centennial Bank is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining databases for data storage, processing, and analytics. This role involves developing and implementing strategies for data warehouse implementation, data acquisition, access, archiving, recovery, and reporting. The Data Engineer II also develops and maintains ETL processes, monitors database and cloud infrastructure, and evaluates new data sources for quality and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and administration of database systems in a team environment.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of industry/vendor technology and trends.
• Oversee projects from the planning stage to completion to meet the organization's requirements.
• Oversee regular maintenance of database systems.
• Provide guidance and assist in maintaining and troubleshooting existing and new software applications.
• Provide guidance to level one engineers and technicians in issue troubleshooting and resolution.
• Conduct research and consult with VP Network Administration concerning new storage, applications, and systems related purchases.
• Develop and maintain Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.
• Monitor and maintain database and cloud infrastructure.
• Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

Requirements

• Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Broad knowledge of fields such as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
• 5+ years of experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Server Products.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• Basic understanding of scripting and PowerShell.

• 3 years experience with Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, and SQL 2017.
