About the position

Our client is currently seeking a Data Engineer II to join their team in a remote capacity. This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong SQL skills and have experience with various data integration tools. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines that facilitate the movement and transformation of data across different systems. The role requires a solid understanding of SQL Server, including the use of stored procedures, as well as familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as AWS S3. In this role, the Data Engineer will work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to ensure that data is accurately integrated and made available for analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience with tools like Matillion, SQL SSIS, or DBT for data integration, and will be comfortable writing Python scripts to automate processes and enhance data workflows. Familiarity with Snowflake for database loading is also a key requirement. The Data Engineer will be expected to call APIs for data retrieval and mapping results, which is considered a good-to-have skill. The position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with SQL, with at least 2 years specifically focused on SQL Server and stored procedures. Candidates should also have a minimum of 2 years of experience with data integration tools and at least 1 year of experience with Python scripting and Snowflake. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills with 8+ years of experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Server and stored procedures.

  • Basic knowledge of Python scripting (1+ year).
  • Familiarity with Snowflake database loading (1+ year).
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud file storage (S3 buckets knowledge only).
  • Experience calling APIs for data and mapping results (good to have).
