About the position
As a Data Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Data Home Lending team, you will be a key member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering data solutions that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role will involve developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures to support the firm's business objectives, leveraging your expertise in data engineering and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Support the review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data.
- Advise and make custom configuration changes using tools to generate products per business or customer requests.
- Update logical or physical data models based on new use cases.
- Manage systems with Cloud technologies.
- Utilize SQL and understand NoSQL databases and their applications.
- Support systems with SSIS and SSRS.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience across the data lifecycle.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including joins and aggregations.
- Working understanding of NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Core Java, and object-oriented design concepts.
- Significant experience with statistical data analysis and the ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns for analysis.
- Experience customizing changes in tools to generate products.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of SQL, SSIS/SSRS/SSAS, NoSQL, and microservice-based system architecture.
