About the position

The position involves driving data productization initiatives at Walmart Global Tech, focusing on developing and executing software solutions that enhance decision-making for merchants and suppliers. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in developing, executing, and improving action plans.
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.
  • Create software design and architecture for new software solutions.
  • Evaluate multiple solutions and articulate tradeoffs during discussions with business and development teams.
  • Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs.
  • Develop and communicate business plans and priorities, removing barriers that impact performance.
  • Create training documentation and oversee tasks of less experienced programmers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field, or 4 years' experience in software engineering or related field, or a Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Cloud, Scala, Streaming, Kafka, SQL, Data Warehousing, BI, and Looker.
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms (GCP/Azure) and backend technologies like Spring.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of accessibility best practices.
