About the position

Millennium Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer III to join our elite team in Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is critical in assembling large and complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements. This includes re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. The Data Engineer III will also build the necessary infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources, utilizing technologies such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Data Engineer III will develop analytical tools that leverage the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Data Engineer will work closely with stakeholders from data, design, product, and executive teams to address data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to supporting Millennium's strategic business objectives through participation in business development activities, including technical interviews and proposal writing support.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have an active secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a total of 10 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
  • Data Engineering certification is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with business development activities such as technical interviews and proposal writing.
