About the position

The Senior Data Engineer at EY will be responsible for ingesting, building, and supporting large-scale data architectures that serve multiple downstream systems and business users within the Industrials and Energy sector. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure data quality, troubleshooting, and the implementation of data solutions that align with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines adhering to ETL principles.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS native technologies.
  • Define data requirements and validate data using various tools in a Big Data Environment.
  • Support standardization and customization of data analysis and develop mechanisms for data ingestion and cleaning.
  • Write unit/integration/performance test scripts and perform data analysis for troubleshooting.
  • Implement processes for data reconciliation and monitor data quality for stakeholders.
  • Lead the evaluation and deployment of emerging tools for analytic data engineering.
  • Develop and deliver communication and education plans on analytic data engineering capabilities.
  • Solve complex data problems to deliver insights for business objectives.
  • Implement statistical data quality procedures on new data sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, data science, data engineering, ETL, and analytics reporting development.
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data and system integrations using dimensional data modeling.
  • Proven track record of implementing complex data solutions.
  • Experience with Data Engineering Programming Languages (e.g., Python) and Distributed Data Technologies (e.g., Pyspark).
  • Familiarity with cloud platform deployment and tools (e.g., Kubernetes) and AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of database architecture and administration.
