About the position

The Data Engineer IV position is a critical role within our organization, primarily focused on developing, evaluating, testing, and maintaining data architectures and solutions. This role is essential for ensuring that our data assets are effectively controlled, protected, and enhanced to deliver maximum value to the organization. The Data Engineer will be responsible for executing plans, policies, and practices that govern the management of data, ensuring that all systems and processes align with business requirements and industry standards. In this role, the Data Engineer will manage data engineering projects through their full lifecycle, from conception to implementation. This includes identifying and outlining business initiatives from a data engineering perspective, which is crucial for aligning data solutions with organizational goals. The Data Engineer will design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems that can handle the growing demands of our data landscape. Additionally, the Data Engineer will be tasked with designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining large-scale enterprise data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. This involves building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts that will drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with data architects, modelers, and IT team members to achieve project goals and ensure the successful delivery of data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data engineering projects through the full cycle.
  • Identify and underline business initiatives from a data engineering perspective.
  • Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
  • Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes.
  • Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • Process certification, such as Six Sigma, CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, CMMI.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
