About the position

Our client, a leader in the financial industry, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their team as part of the Data Governance team. The ideal candidate will have experience ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data, which is crucial for aligning successfully within the organization. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for performing detailed analyses of data to identify inconsistencies and errors. You will create and implement data cleansing processes and validate data accuracy through data matching and validation rules. Additionally, you will develop and maintain data quality metrics and monitoring systems to assess data quality effectively. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with the Data Governance team and Data Stewards to ensure that data quality standards are being met. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining documentation related to data quality processes, standards, and procedures. Generating reports to be delivered to various stakeholders will be an essential part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all parties are informed about data quality metrics and any issues that arise. This position is fully remote within the US and is offered as a one-year contract with possible extensions, payable on a W2 basis only. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and proficiency in Data Quality, Data Cleansing, Governance, Data Validation, Data Integration, and Metrics. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also necessary to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a detailed analysis of data to determine inconsistencies, errors, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Proficient experience with Data Quality, Data Cleansing, Governance, Data Validation, Data Integration and Metrics
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
