Responsibilities

  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
  • Implement complex, scalable, and robust data pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.
  • Leverage AWS cloud services for the deployment of data pipelines.
  • Utilize technologies such as AirFlow, Kafka, and Kubernetes for real-time data processing and task management.
  • Maintain and optimize our AWS DynamoDB database, ensuring its scalability and performance.
  • Work on containerization technologies for the deployment of applications.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and continuous improvements to our existing systems.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and be prepared to propose and implement new solutions that can benefit our business.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar.
  • Proven experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
  • Solid experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools, specifically AirFlow and Kafka.
  • Extensive experience with databases, particularly AWS DynamoDB.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and data serialization formats.
  • Experience with data ingestion and real-time data processing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to learning new technologies and keeping your skills updated.
  • A strong commitment to data security and privacy, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
