About the position

We are a profitable start-up seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a focus on utilizing technologies such as Python, Spark, AWS, and Airflow. This role is crucial for our data-driven initiatives, and you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with data analysts and data scientists to ensure that our data is accessible, reliable, and ready for analysis. In this position, you will spend approximately 70% of your time on data engineering tasks, which include developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing data storage solutions. About 20% of your time will be dedicated to data analytics, where you will analyze data to derive insights and support business decisions. The remaining 10% will involve machine learning tasks, where you will collaborate with data scientists to implement machine learning models and algorithms. You will be part of a collaborative team environment, where daily responsibilities will be hands-on, with minimal management duties. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to leverage data for strategic initiatives, making this a highly rewarding role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, or Flink

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with Typescript, Javascript, or Node.js
