About the position

The Data Engineer / Python Developer / ML Integration role is a contract position focused on backend development and machine learning integration. The position involves working with data pipelines, machine learning models, and APIs to support data infrastructure and product development within a consulting firm that emphasizes Cloud and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Handle data pipelines and run machine learning models.
• Integrate with APIs to support data infrastructure and product development.
• Collaborate with the front-end team utilizing React and TypeScript.
• Manage files across platforms and resolve production and non-production issues.
• Handle Oracle patching and collaborate on system upgrades.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficient in Python for developing data pipelines and backend development via FastAPI.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL.
• Experience with machine learning integration and exposure to libraries like Hugging Face.
• Familiarity with finance systems, specifically Peoplesoft 9.2, Oracle, Linux, and Windows.
