About the position

The Data Engineer position within the QuBIT OPTIMA team at Amazon focuses on developing data infrastructure to optimize operational processes and enhance efficiency across Amazon's fulfillment centers. The role involves working with advanced technologies and collaborating with various teams to deliver data-driven insights and solutions that support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data infrastructure using CDK and advanced technologies.
• Analyze, validate, visualize, prototype, and deliver data solutions.
• Lead the implementation of large-scale projects to improve inbound operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as AFT, Finance, and Process Engineering.
• Support operational leadership in identifying and closing gaps in performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda).
• Familiarity with non-relational databases (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases).
• 2+ years of experience in building/operating highly available, distributed systems for data processing.
