About the position

The Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for building and updating the existing Data Warehouse at Bright Horizons. This role focuses on data engineering to support product and enterprise teams, ensuring a best-in-class experience for customers. The developer will coordinate with various teams to design stable databases and ETL processes, assist in migrating SQL Data Warehouse to Cloud Data Warehouse (Snowflake), and create efficient data pipelines to integrate data from various sources.

Responsibilities

• Build and update existing Data Warehouse.
• Provide operational support for all ETL and data processes.
• Create internal reports/dashboards and external client-facing reports.
• Coordinate with Application Development and System Engineering teams.
• Design stable and reliable databases and ETL processes.
• Assist in the migration of SQL Data Warehouse to Cloud Data Warehouse (Snowflake).
• Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines (ETLs).
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the implementation of high-quality, production-grade data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Create and maintain documentation including procedures, best practices, and data flows.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Review test scripts to ensure testing meets business requirements.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.
• Support the existing Data Warehouse and contribute to Snowflake integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Environment with ETL development and BI Reporting tools.
• Expertise in designing ETL frameworks with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience in SQL queries and SQL Server BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS & SSAS).
• 1+ years of experience in Informatica IDMC Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• 3+ years' experience in data warehouse design (dimensional modeling).
• Good understanding of enterprise data management concepts.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
• Experience working with code repositories and continuous integration.
• Experience with cloud data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Snowpipes, Snow Tasks, and Azure services.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Qlik/Power BI.
• Familiarity with Airflow and GCP BigQuery.
