As a Data Engineer Senior within PNC's Enterprise Data Management organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Cleveland-OH, Birmingham-AL, Downers Grove-IL, Chicago-IL. In this role, you will lead the development, support, and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to meet business objectives and user requirements. You will leverage your technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain technology solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions, as well as designing and building data service infrastructure across multiple data platforms according to the workflow. You will oversee the development and implementation of data solutions to ensure their scalability, availability, and maintainability, and consult on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions. You will also be expected to think through business problems and processes as input for data virtualization solutions, which you will propose. Strong communication, solution development, documentation, and productive partnership skills with business leaders, analysts, and engineers are essential. You will serve as the intermediary between business and IT, working closely with end-user customers to solve complex problems using technology. A background with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Teradata, and Denodo is crucial for success in this position.
