About the position

As a Data Engineer Senior within PNC's Enterprise Data Management Technology organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing, supporting, and implementing data solutions that align with business objectives and user requirements. This position is based in Dallas, TX, and requires a strong technical background in data engineering, particularly with Spark and Python. You will lead the data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions, ensuring that the infrastructure is designed and built to support multiple data platforms effectively. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of data solutions across various applications, focusing on scalability, availability, and maintainability. Your responsibilities will include consulting on data migration and transformation processes to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions. You will leverage your technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, support, and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications.
  • Conduct data requirement analysis and develop data preparation processes for targeted data solutions.
  • Design and build data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms according to workflow.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of data solutions to ensure scalability, availability, and maintainability.
  • Consult on data migration and transformation to ensure accuracy and security of data solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Spark (versions 2/3) and Python development.
  • Ability to review user/application code and provide constructive feedback.
