About the position
Castalia Systems is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Quantico, VA. This role involves creating, maintaining, and optimizing data storage and access, as well as designing and managing the architecture of data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management and programming, with a focus on deploying machine learning algorithms and managing various data types.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and optimize data storage and access.
- Design and manage the architecture of a data pipeline/data platform where data is obtained, stored, processed, and queried.
- Utilize programming skills to customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems.
- Maintain and test the data pipeline for reliability, performance, and stability.
- Deploy machine learning algorithms into production environments by configuring data attributes, managing computing resources and setting up monitoring tools.
- Manage and maintain structured, semi-structured and unstructured data; structure and manipulate data for analysis leveraging Python, Java, Scala, Exadata, SQL, SAP, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle.
- Build and manage tools for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) stages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience.
