As a Data Engineer Sr within PNC's Asset Management Group and AI Strategy organization, you will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. This position will focus on PNC's Big Data transformation within Asset Management Group. Successful candidates will have proven experience in Data Architecture, analytics, and large data technology to include Hadoop or similar tools. Candidates will be responsible for driving change with business partners and setting expectations. Azure and Amazon Redshift experience is also required. You will guide and mentor data developers to ensure best practices in data engineering are followed and be highly skilled in developing PySpark data pipelines within a Hadoop environment. Leads in developing, supporting and implementing data solutions for multiple applications in order to meet business objectives and user requirements. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Leads data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions. Oversees the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability. Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and implement data solutions for multiple applications to meet business objectives and user requirements.
  • Lead data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions.
  • Design and build data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms according to the workflow.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure scalability, availability, and maintainability.
  • Consult on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Data Architecture, analytics, and large data technology including Hadoop or similar tools.
  • Experience in developing PySpark data pipelines within a Hadoop environment.
  • Ability to drive change with business partners and set expectations.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure and Amazon Redshift.
  • Knowledge of data mining and data science principles.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques.
