As a Data Engineer/Sr Data Engineer within the IT Analytics team at American Airlines, you will play a crucial role in enabling data engineering solutions that drive insights and decision-making across the organization. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about data and analytics, and who thrive in a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for designing and delivering analytics solutions that enhance the data-driven culture at American Airlines. Your work will involve close collaboration with source data application teams and product owners to implement analytics solutions that provide valuable insights for better decision-making. In this role, you will implement data migration and engineering solutions using a variety of Azure products and services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Databricks. You will be involved in multiple aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, data ingestion, preparation, modeling, testing, and deployment. Your technical leadership will be essential as you work within a team environment and independently to support the product you own. You will also implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and privacy and security guidelines. Mentoring others will be a key aspect of your role, as you help to create multi-functional teams and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
