We are currently expanding our team and are in search of a talented, passionate, and driven Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering Group. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Data Engineering at Pagaya. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing data infrastructure projects with a focus on creating self-service tools. You will design and implement complex data models using dbt and Snowflake, collaborating closely with the Product, BI, and Research teams to implement new features. Your role will also involve identifying and resolving data issues proactively, ensuring that potential problems are addressed before they impact consumers. Additionally, you will monitor and optimize Snowflake performance to guarantee high data quality and scalability of our product, utilizing the latest technologies and industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Develop data infrastructure projects, focusing on creating self-service tools.
  • Design and implement complex data models using dbt and Snowflake.

  • Identify and resolve data issues that arise, and proactively address potential issues before they impact consumers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in data engineering development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Deep understanding of data platform architectures and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges and drive innovation.
