About the position

The Multimedia Data Platform team at TikTok is focused on optimizing the app experience for users by providing robust data support. This role involves building advanced streaming and batch data processing solutions that support TikTok's core business of short video content, as well as horizontal business functions. The position offers the opportunity to work with large-scale data warehouses and tackle complex technical and business challenges, directly linking individual contributions to the company's success.

Responsibilities

• Build state-of-the-art streaming and batch data processing solutions.
• Support the core business at TikTok by optimizing the data pipeline for short video content.
• Analyze systems and define transformation requirements for data models.
• Drive the design, execution, and maintenance of automated tests for data products and pipelines.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product managers to meet client needs using TikTok Multimedia analytical methods.
• Contribute to the Data Quality Excellence practice by sharing knowledge and improving best practices.
• Communicate effectively through technical documentation and interactions with stakeholders.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Technical Field, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
• 3+ years of experience in the data warehouse space.
• 3+ years of experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Clickhouse, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• 3+ years of experience in writing SQL statements.
• Proficient in a programming language (e.g., Python, Go, C++).
• Strong communication skills to identify and convey data-driven insights.
