Responsibilities

• Design and deliver large data technical solutions across the TRC organization.
• Define and launch innovative analytical applications for various stakeholders.
• Build scalable and privacy-focused data architecture to serve data globally.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to shape data-driven success.
• Engage in deep-dive analysis to uncover new data streams and insights.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and writing SQL queries.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience with common database structures and tools (e.g. Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL).
• Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles.
• Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS specific solutions (e.g. Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda).
• Experience using big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark, EMR).
• Scripting experience (Python) for data processing and API calls.
