Splunk is seeking a passionate data engineering candidate to join our Enterprise Applications Transformation Office. In this role, you will leverage your analytical and engineering skills to support our growing Go-To-Market (GTM) Business. You will collaborate with data systems analysts, IT, Finance, Sales, and Customer Experience (CX) teams to drive operational excellence and performance insights across the organization. Your primary focus will be on integrating Cisco and Splunk, democratizing, maintaining, optimizing, and growing our GTM analytics. This position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to engage effectively with internal business partners. You will apply software engineering best practices to analytics code and transform data into actionable insights. As a data engineer, you will design and develop go-to-market analytics using tools such as dbt, Snowflake, and Python. You will coordinate production analytics deployments with the Analytics Data Platform Team and ensure downstream dashboard delivery with the Tableau engineering team. A deep understanding of our data and benchmarking will be essential, as well as an understanding of the broader data management strategy at Splunk to align current and future development efforts. You will identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and data, eliminate gaps in performance insight, and provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include leading documentation efforts to create a single source of truth for GTM metrics across the company, blending immediate tactical data needs with long-term scalable strategies for operational and analytical requirements. You will work cross-functionally with adjacent operations and analytics teams to integrate data, process, and metrics requirements into wider corporate initiatives. Additionally, you will support Splunk's Cloud/Term renewal strategy, collaborating with Customer Success Managers, Renewals, Sales, Sales Operations, and Finance to drive target setting, coverage modeling, capacity planning, and forecasting. Ultimately, you will be a partner to the business, prioritizing work based on the insights it can deliver to positively impact Splunk's bottom line.
