About the position

The Data Engineer position involves developing and maintaining ETL data workflows and code for new data integrations, as well as enhancing existing workflows. The role requires deep knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, along with advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with Data Warehousing, particularly with Redshift. The candidate will participate in multiple technical projects using Agile methodology and will be responsible for delivering IT/BI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ETL data workflows and code for new data integrations.
  • Maintain and enhance existing workflows and code.
  • Write documentation that describes installation and operating procedures.
  • Participate in multiple technical projects using Agile methodology.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience with SQL Query Design in large-scale data warehouse environments.
  • 5 years of experience in data collection, database design, and report development.
  • Deep knowledge of data extraction, transformation & loading (ETL).
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Data Warehousing.
  • Migration experience with Redshift.
  • Expertise in Query optimization and Performance-tuning techniques.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of UNIX programming.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics.
