You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of system design and development, collaborating closely with product teams to ensure that your solutions meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Responsibilities

  • Innovate systems and tools that power Woot's business functions including customer service, fulfillment, and finance.
  • Design, develop, and improve systems, managing the entire lifecycle from design and architecture to implementation and release.
  • Collaborate closely with internal customers to drive new solutions that impact both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala).
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.
  • Experience with AWS technologies including Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
