About the position

The Data Engineer position at Strategic Staffing Solutions is a contract role focused on developing high-quality, scalable data solutions. The role involves ensuring project goals are met, creating unit tests for accuracy, and documenting processes while working with technologies like Snowflake and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Supports the creation of unit tests to ensure accuracy.
• Tracks and identifies risk areas and drives resolution of issues.
• Provides accurate and timely input regarding the status of technical tasks.
• Ensures project goals and overall development objectives are being met.
• Designs and develops high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions and products on schedule.
• Documents possible improvements under the guidance of more tenured resources.
• Moves near real-time data from source to Snowflake Database using Kafka.
• Validates data processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Movement.
• 6+ years of strong SQL language skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of experience in Python.
