About the position

The Data Engineer position is a temporary remote role focused on implementing and optimizing data architectures for a leading gaming company. The role involves designing automated data flows, ensuring compliance with data privacy policies, and creating technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, particularly within the gaming sector, and will be responsible for building data visualizations and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Implements complete data architectures, including appropriate data schemas and components for database design.
• Designs and implements automated data flows for extraction, transformation, and load.
• Optimizes data aggregations while ensuring compliance with data privacy policies.
• Authors robust technical documentation, data schema, and real-time data telemetry specifications.
• Builds and maintains moderately complex data visualizations.
• Communicates and coordinates with external and internal teams.
• May develop requirements and draft high-level design documents, presenting designs to key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' work-related experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a must.
• Experience in building moderately complex data visualizations on real data.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and data flow automation is a plus.
• Experience with physical implementation of moderately complex logical database designs and relational database concepts.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 3+ years of work-related experience in data engineering, analysis, and business intelligence.
