About the position

Peloton Interactive, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in New York, NY. In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling our data infrastructure to meet the growing business needs by building robust batch and streaming data pipelines that process terabytes of data on a daily basis. You will collaborate with multiple teams of engineers and business partners to support analytics and reporting data needs across the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in building and maintaining data pipelines that cater to the data and analytics requirements of various collaborators across multiple business verticals, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Marketing, and Product. As a Data Engineer, you will need to have a deep understanding of end-to-end data interactions and dependencies across sophisticated data pipelines and data transformations, and how these elements impact business decisions. You will work closely with your team to develop best practices for building our next-generation data platform. This position offers the flexibility of telecommuting, allowing you to work from home while contributing to our innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, along with two years of experience in a similar role. You will be expected to leverage your technical skills in various tools and technologies to enhance our data capabilities and drive impactful business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Help scale data infrastructure for business needs by building batch and streaming data pipelines that process terabytes of data daily.
• Work with multiple teams of engineers and business partners to support analytics and reporting data needs across the organization.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to support the data and analytics needs of different collaborators across multiple business verticals including Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Marketing, and Product.
• Understand end-to-end data interactions and dependencies across sophisticated data pipelines and data transformations and how they impact business decisions.
• Collaborate with the team to develop best practices in building our next-generation data platform.

Requirements

• Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline.
• Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
• Proficiency in Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Airbyte, dbt, Python, SQL (Presto, Postgres), Unix Shell, R, and Docker.
