About the position

FXI is seeking a Data Engineer to join our IT team, which is responsible for maintaining the enterprise data warehouse for FXI data across multiple applications. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions, including data migration tools, robust data models, data integration, and database design. The Data Engineer will report to the Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence and will work in a hybrid model at our Radnor, PA headquarters, with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. In this role, you will develop ETL processes, optimize data pipelines, and ensure data quality and security. You will be tasked with building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts. Collaboration with BI Analysts and stakeholders is essential to deliver scalable data architecture that supports analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You will also review and improve business processes, best practices, and data quality, efficiency, and reliability. Your responsibilities will include establishing solutions that democratize data throughout the organization, ensuring data quality through automated techniques, and implementing data privacy and compliance measures. You will drive engagement, organizational assessment, impact analysis, learning/training, communications, business readiness, deployment, and adoption measurement throughout projects. Applying Agile and waterfall methodologies will be crucial to continuously deliver outcomes and promote user adoption. Additionally, you will develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain data warehouse solutions including data migration tools, robust data models, data integration, data warehousing and database design.
  • Develop ETL processes, optimize data pipelines, and ensure data quality and security.
  • Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
  • Collaborate with BI Analyst and stakeholders to deliver scalable data architecture supporting analytics and business intelligence.
  • Review and improve business processes, best practices, and data quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or specialized training/certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Hands-on development experience with various Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Logic App or similar.
  • Advanced SQL skills and Python proficiency.
  • Experience with creating/maintaining stored procedures & structured views.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-class business applications including ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4 HANA), financial systems, manufacturing applications, HR, and others.
  • Experience with Big Data tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS), Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS), and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), scripting, secure API development, and web connectors OLAP (Online Analytical Processing).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and present data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
