About the position

Randstad is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Data Engineer to leverage data for driving strategic decisions and crafting transformative solutions. This position is integral to a dynamic team within a vibrant industry, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) systems, which are crucial for the role. The Data Engineer will be responsible for executing SCADA/MES development and configuration needs, conducting operator training, and providing on-hands production support to ensure the SCADA/MES system is operational during the first shift. In addition to these responsibilities, the Data Engineer will collaborate with both internal and external personnel in the design, development, and implementation of integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems. This role also involves supporting the development of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation, as well as analyzing system performance to suggest or implement improvements where applicable. The Data Engineer will oversee the protection of the SCADA/MES environment, ensuring data security and integrity by helping to establish operational guidelines that include privacy, security, editing, validating, and restart/recovery controls. Furthermore, the role requires the development and modification of SCADA/MES systems, including Tag Database generation, report development, and computer setup and configuration. Assistance in the deployment of technology beyond SCADA/MES will also be expected, making this a multifaceted position that requires a proactive and skilled individual.

Responsibilities

  • Execute SCADA/MES development and configuration needs
  • Conduct SCADA/MES operator training
  • Provide on-hands Production support for SCADA/MES system to ensure it is online during 1st shift
  • Collaborate with internal/external personnel in the design, development, and implementation of integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems
  • Support the development of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation
  • Analyze system performance and suggest or make improvements, where applicable

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Warehouse
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a SCADA Engineer
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with SCADA Ignition
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Sepasoft applications
