About the position

The Data Engineer position is a hybrid contract role focused on analyzing, mapping, building, testing, and maintaining database pipeline architectures using Oracle and DB2. This role is crucial for supporting the agency's migration from legacy systems to Salesforce, requiring collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The Data Engineer will design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring data quality and compliance with governance and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, map, build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures using Oracle and DB2.
• Collaborate with SMEs to understand and execute data conversion objectives that transform, mask, and load data into Salesforce objects.
• Create and maintain table schemas.
• Create new data validation methods to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Requirements

• 5 Years of Experience with Oracle Required
• 5 Years of Experience with PL/SQL Required
• 7 Years of Experience with SQL Required
• 5 Years of Experience with data migrations from legacy systems Required
• 1 Year of Experience with data cleansing Required
• 1 Year of Experience with DB2 Highly desired
• 1 Year of Experience with ETL processes involving Salesforce Highly desired
• 1 Year of Experience with Talend Highly desired
• 1 Year of Experience with GIT Highly desired
• 1 Year of Experience with Jira Highly desired
• 5 Years of Experience with Java Highly desired
• 3 Years of Experience with Python Highly desired
• 1 Year of Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS and Azure) and associated services for data processing and storage Highly desired
• 2 Years of Experience with Azure Synapse Highly desired
