About the position
The Data Engineer position at Robert Half involves designing and implementing ETL solutions, optimizing Snowflake databases, and developing data pipelines. This role is part of an agile team and requires close collaboration with Portfolio Managers and other engineering teams to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL solutions for transferring data between various data sources and Snowflake
- Optimize the performance of Snowflake databases, design and implement data structures, and use indexes appropriately
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models, fostering data-driven decision making across the organization
- Maintain and manage data in the Snowflake environment
- Develop and maintain automated and scalable data pipelines in Snowflake
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues
- Develop new integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it
- Work closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and architects
- Maintain the security of confidential information and stay abreast of advances in technology
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer
- Proficient in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark
- Must have experience with Cloud Technologies such as AWS Technologies and Microsoft Azure
- Skilled in Data Visualization and Algorithm Implementation
- Strong understanding of Analytics and Apache Hadoop
- Experience with API Development is essential
- Must have knowledge and experience in ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes
- Proficiency in Snowflake is a plus
