The Data Engineer at Travel + Leisure Co. plays a crucial role in the planning, development, deployment, implementation, and maintenance of analytics and data solutions. This position focuses on ensuring the quality and efficiency of data management processes, utilizing relational databases, ETL tools, and cloud computing to support internal business needs and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, organize, manage, and deliver data solutions for internal customers.
• Ensure high-quality service performance of all databases and drive efficiency in daily operations.
• Design and manage data pipelines using ETL tools.
• Choose appropriate database systems for specific use cases and design efficient data schemas.
• Deploy and manage data solutions in cloud platforms like AWS and OCI.
• Build complex business database systems and tackle data in motion and at rest.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 6 years of experience in database development using PL/SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake.
• Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience supporting 24x7 global business operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal direction.

Nice-to-haves

• Oracle Certified DBA certification.
• Experience in SQL/PL/SQL/Java code development.
• Knowledge of database security strategies and technologies.
