About the position

The Data Engineer position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions. The role emphasizes data analytics and governance, requiring strong technical skills in cloud technologies and data modeling. The engineer will work independently to solve problems and communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring that data solutions meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Implement data governance and metadata management practices.
• Analyze, design, develop, and deploy data solutions based on business requirements.
• Work independently to solve problems and update stakeholders on project progress.
• Communicate effectively with senior business managers and executives regarding technical documentation and project status.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on Data Warehousing and Data Analytics.
• 4 years of experience with a leading public cloud platform.
• 4 years of experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines.
• 4 years of experience with Python and working knowledge of Notebooks.
• 2 years of experience with Kafka, PubSub, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with GCP Cloud data implementation projects (Dataflow, DataProc, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, GKE, Airflow).
• At least 2 years of experience in Data Governance and Metadata Management.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD related technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
